About Me

My Personal Philosophy of Nursing

Hi, I’m Harper! I am currently a Nursing student at the University of Mary with a passion for caring for others and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I’ve always been drawn to roles that allow me to serve, support, and connect, which is what led me to pursue a career in Nursing.

Through my experience providing in-home care for a child with developmental disabilities, I’ve learned the importance of patience, adaptability, and truly listening to both patients and their families. That experience has shaped how I approach care—with empathy, respect, and a commitment to meeting each person where they are.

Outside of clinical and academic work, I’ve been involved in leadership, ministry, and community service, all of which have helped me grow in confidence and purpose. I value collaboration, positivity, and showing up fully for others. 

My goal as a future nurse is to provide compassionate, holistic care while continuing to learn and grow every day. I’m especially interested in working with pediatric populations and supporting individuals and families through both everyday care and challenging moments.
